Losing weight can feel like an insurmountable problem. Our lives are hectic and stressful. Eating healthfully and exercising are not easy to do. Even if you try, try, try, the weight doesn’t always come off like you need it to.

It all started…
In 2013 when a patient asked me if I could help her lose weight with Acupuncture. I did some research and came across a point combination that was simple and logical. After “testing” this combination on her, we decided to open this up to the public. I started treating people for weight loss in groups. We’d gather in yoga and kickboxing studios 3 times per week where we’d discuss the joyous victories and struggles of their journey and, at last, I’d administer the simple Acupuncture protocol.
People reported a variety of positive results such as:

Magic Bullet?
While everyone experienced some positive results, this is not a magic weight loss bullet. My first patient in Acupuncture school came in and said he wanted to eat Big Macs and Ice Cream Sundaes and have me make the Acupuncture lower his Cholesterol and take the pounds off. I appreciated his honesty and I hoped he would appreciate mine; Acupuncture won’t override the natural wisdom of your body. It won’t enable you to abuse yourself and ignore the warning signs of your body, but it can help turn things around when you’re struggling. Diet is a factor. Exercise is a factor, but if you can’t do it all alone, Acupuncture just may be the thing that puts you over the edge and gives you the advantage over your situation.
Recently, I had a woman come in who was in her 50’s. She ate lots of organic vegetables and exercised multiple times a week but just hit a plateau and couldn’t lose one more pound no matter what. We applied this Acupuncture protocol for weight loss and sure enough, she began to lose pounds. Over the weeks I could see her slimming down!
